You can deploy from Git, an API or straight from AI tools, and Netlify handles builds, SSL, a global CDN and preview links. It is a common home for marketing sites, static sites and apps produced by AI app builders. On top of hosting, it now bundles serverless functions, storage, a database and AI agent runs. Usage on every plan is measured in a single pool of monthly credits. ## Key features - **Deploy from anywhere.** Push from Git, call the API or deploy from an AI tool. Deploy previews and branch deploys are unlimited on every plan, so clients and teammates can review changes before they go live. - **Backend building blocks.** Serverless functions, access to AI models, Blob storage and Netlify Database are included, with basic limits on the free plan. - **Agent Runners.** Run AI agents against your projects. The number of agent runs at once depends on plan: 1 on Free, 3 on Personal and 10 on Pro. - **Credit-based usage.** Everything draws from one monthly credit pool. A production deploy costs 15 credits, bandwidth 20 credits per GB, compute 10 credits per GB-hour and web requests 2 credits per 10,000. ## Best for Netlify suits indie builders and agencies hosting marketing sites, landing pages and front-end apps for themselves or clients. The free plan has hard limits and cannot run up a bill, which makes it a safe place for side projects and experiments. Pro's unlimited members suit small agencies where several people touch client sites. Apps with heavy traffic or lots of server-side compute should do the credit math first, since bandwidth and compute both draw from the same pool. ## Pricing summary Free includes 300 credits a month. Personal is $9 a month for 1,000 credits. Pro starts at $20 a month with unlimited members and a choice of 3,000 to 20,000 credits. Extra credits cost $5 per 500 on Personal and $10 per 1,500 on Pro. Enterprise is custom. ## Quick verdict Netlify is easy to start with and the free plan is truly free. The credit system takes some getting used to, though. Production deploys cost credits, so frequent deploys eat into your budget. And if one project goes over its limits, every project on the account pauses until the next cycle, which matters for agencies hosting several client sites on one account. Turn on auto recharge or split clients across accounts.
